Masterclass: film production with Danijel Pek

How to turn an initial idea into an audiovisual work that finds its intended audience? In this masterclass, Danijel Pek will bring closer various practical aspects of film development – from forming a concept and collaborating with authors to positioning your work towards festivals, television and streaming platforms. Aided by examples and case studies, the masterclass participants will gain insight into development strategies, financing and distribution, and learn how to think of a project not just as a work of art, but also as a product with clear identity and audience.

Danijel Pek is a Croatian TV and film producer. He studied Production as well as Political Sciences at the University of Zagreb, and worked as journalist and subeditor on radio and TV. In 2007 he founded Antitalent, a production company versed in film, TV and online content. He graduated from EAVE and EAVE+ producer courses, as well as being a Producers on the Move, Berlinale and Sarajevo Talents alumnus. His films were screened and awarded at major film festivals. His short The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent was nominated for Oscar shorts. Danijel Pek is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
