12th STIFF – Jury

Traditionally, the jury at the Student International Film Festival has three teams – feature, documentary and animation. Each of these three teams consists of three people: a film professional, a winner of a past edition of STIFF, and a student with some film knowledge. This structure allows students to learn directly from seasoned professionals, while Croatian film professionals can get in touch with young film authors from afar. STIFF thus ferments collaboration, exchange of ideas and networking between film lovers of different generations.

Given that the programme, the jury has a difficult task ahead – to give three main awards: Best Feature, Best Documentary and Best Animated film. The jury can also hand out special mentions to outstanding films. And there is the STIFF Audience Award, where all the viewers can vote and make sure their favourite film takes home the prize.
